More Colours...and Some Rotten Stuff

We did an experiment in colour and surface tension this week. Using milk and food colouring on a plate, we tested the effect of adding a little dish soap to bind to the fat molecules in the milk and break the surface tension. We tried 3.5% and 2% milk, and it seemed to work a bit better with the higher fat milk. Plus it looked really cool!

We also decided to see what would happen to our sunflower blossoms if we put them in the jars. We left water in one, and no water in the other. They are already looking pretty rotten!
