Shapes and Machines at the Central Library

We had a great time exploring and learning at the Central Library today. Before we went to the library, we read "Roberto, The Insect Architect" and talked about the architecture of the library. We got to go "behind the scenes" and learn how the book sorting machine works, and we even saw a train go through the middle of the library! Thank you to our volunteers for helping to make this trip happen.

When we returned to the school, we used our skills as architects to design our own libraries from materials in the iLab.
"We are architects and we created the Central Library!"
"My library has a book escalator just like the one we learned about!"
